A few times through the year, Atsushi travels to teach Sashiko workshops and retreats in different locations. During these periods, our online store remains open, but shipping operations are temporarily paused while we are away.
To help you plan ahead, we would like to share our current shipping schedule for Summer and Fall 2026.
July 2026 Shipping Pause
Orders placed between July 2 and July 12, 2026, will be processed beginning Monday, July 13, 2026.
If you would like your order to ship before this trip, please place it no later than Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
August 2026 Shipping Pause
Orders placed between August 8 and August 16, 2026, will be processed beginning Monday, August 17, 2026.
To receive your package before this pause, please order by Friday, August 7, 2026.
September 2026 Shipping Pause
Orders placed between September 11 and September 20, 2026, will be processed beginning Monday, September 21, 2026.
Orders should be placed by Thursday, September 10, 2026 if you would like them shipped before the break.

Can I still place an order while shipping is paused?
Yes. The online store remains open 24 hours a day, and orders can be placed at any time.
Will my order be reserved?
Your order will be securely received and queued in the order it was placed. Shipping will begin once we return according to the schedule above.
Why does shipping pause?
Sashiko Story is a one-person business. When Atsushi travels to teach workshops and retreats, we temporarily suspend shipping so we can continue providing the same level of care to every order.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience. Your support makes it possible for us not only to continue sharing Sashiko supplies, but also to teach, preserve, and pass on the stories behind this practice around the world.
