Learn Sashiko from the Heart—Anywhere, Anytime

Sashiko is more than technique — it is a profound process shaped by rhythm, mindset, and legacy. That is why I created the Online Sashiko Class: Core & Essence. It is not only about learning how to stitch. It is about experiencing the heart of the Sashiko we have been practicing in Japan for generations, together with the “techniques” that allow us to follow, understand, and respect the beautiful Sashiko pieces we can still find today.

This is the online version of my in-person workshop/retreat, [Core & Essence], carefully adapted so you can join from wherever you are in the world, at your own pace. Once you sign up, you will receive a welcome email, a prepared material package, and access to recorded video lectures. The videos walk you through Sashiko’s deep cultural background, how to use traditional tools, and how to discover your own stitching rhythm — not by simply copying, but by feeling. The section on Unshin (運針) is especially important. This is where the true Core & Essence resides.

When you are ready, we will meet privately online for a one-hour live session. I will check your posture and movement, answer your questions, and make sure you are connected to the Sashiko we hope to pass down. Even through the screen, it becomes something close to a one-on-one lesson.
