[Story About "Boro Happens"]
“Boro Happens” began as my playful connection between the American phrase “Shit Happens” and the Japanese word boro, which can refer not only to worn-out fabric but also, in another context, to animal droppings. I have shared this cross-cultural wordplay in my Sashiko workshops for more than five years, always imagining that it might someday become a design. With the help of AI, that idea has finally taken shape as this original Azuneko sticker—a small, humorous reminder to accept imperfection, respect different cultures, and keep moving forward when life does not go as planned. Well… Boro Happens.
